Halhoul: The highest-located city in Palestine

Located on a high mountainous area, Halhoul is the site of cherished holy places for religious visitors, including graves of biblical prophets. The history dates back to 3000 B.C. The city is estimated to date to 3000 BC. The Canaanites named the village “Halhoul,” meaning “to tremble.”
