The Mahmiyat.ps website celebrated Arab Environment Day for the year 2021, which falls on October 14th each year. This was in conjunction with the meeting of the 32nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for Environmental Affairs, in Cairo. The focus was on the importance of environmental rehabilitation, ensuring the improvement of individuals' lives and awareness of the challenges and environmental problems facing the Arab region.

In a press release, the website explained that Arab efforts to rehabilitate the environment and to restore destroyed ecosystems will require Arab cooperation, and Arab solidarity, in order to face various challenges.

Mahmiyat.ps shared the slogan of Arab Environment Day, “Electronic and Electrical Waste - Reality and Solutions”. It is an opportunity to strengthen positive behaviors intergenerationally. The topics being covered will include: environmental awareness, the importance of recycling, sharing how to recycle, teaching about dependence-reduction pertaining to natural resources, explaining how to switch to recyclable materials and how to make waste materials reusable.

The site stated that nature is the source of life and reserves are one of the means to maintain ecological balance and preserving the environment. By supporting ecotourism and sustainability, through our various projects, we seek to solidify environmental sustainability.

Mahmiyat.ps also affirmed its support for all activities and events that seek to promote the values of environmental sustainability.  With the support of the Hanns Seidel Foundation, Mahmiyat.ps recently taught about recyclable materials, encouraging individuals and institutions to do so. This was a focus because recycling is a realtime example of a circular economy.  There is support for all activities related to the concepts of tourism, environmental development and the continued strengthening of German-Palestinian cooperation.
