Mahmiyat.ps: The Palestinian National Environment Day is an opportunity to protect nature from violations

The Mahmiyat.ps website took the opportunity of National Palestinian Environment Day, which falls on March 5th each year, to continue working to protect Palestinian nature and reserves from violations.

The website said that Mahmiyat.ps programs sought to develop environmental awareness for nature reserves, enhance the concepts of ecotourism, and demarcate a number of natural trails in partnership with the coordinating authorities. Mahmiyat.ps stressed that the Palestinian environment needs concerted efforts to protect it, to protect migratory birds, and to intensify awareness programs. The programs should target awareness in school environmental clubs, as well as the local community.

On the occasion of the Palestinian National Environment Day, Mahmiyah.ps wanted to promote the integration of sport in nature, through environmental trails. 48 ​​individuals took part in an activity on the environmental trail in the Wadi Quilt Nature Reserve. This was in cooperation with the Palestinian Sports and Environment Union, and the Palestinian Society for Environment and Sustainable Development. This project was with the support of the Hanns Seidel Foundation.

Mahmiyat.ps will work to implement many programs that will contribute to enhancing the importance of natural reserves for people. It will also be integrating the various local communities in learning about biodiversity in nature reserves through the trails. This will be implemented in partnership with the relevant authorities, and through the continued support of the Hanns Seidel Foundation.
