A tour through the trail

This trail starts from the east of the village of Beit Ummar, located to the north of Hebron, near the village's great mosque. The visitor moves east towards the Qarn Reserve, from a point southwest of the reserve. It passes at the only Carob tree in the reserve. Plants cover around 68% of the area of ​​the reserve, while the remain areas are rocks.

Through the trail, the visitors pass through the centre of the reserve, in Khirbat al-Qarn, which is ancient ruins of which amputations remain, stating to its history. As it follows the Mediterranean climate, and the visitors pass through natural vegetations such as oaks and exposed rock outcrops, which are areas with diversity in plants that change in the forms according to their nature for the seasons; Various colours, plant heights, and aromatic scents accordingly.

The trail inside the reserve is forest of natural oak and maple, in addition to other types of wild trees and shrubs.

Its summit is approximately 2 km away, and it is a secluded natural place in the midst of noisy urban areas, as if it were a pocket of calm in Loving the place.

The visitor continues eastward until it overlooks Al-Aroub camp, gradually descending from the maximum altitude in the reserve, which reaches 950 m above sea level to Al-Arroub at an altitude of 800 m above sea level.

Biodiversity

In the reserve, there are oak trees, Christ's thorn, hawthorn, styrax, and others. The seasonal wild plants are: pink locust, Persian deer horn, saffron, wild lupine and others.
