Artas Village

Artas Village

Artas is a Palestinian village southwest of Bethlehem. It is known for its diverse landscape, flora and fauna. This diversity exists due to the location of the village where different ecosystems meet. Not far from the village is a Christian Convent, called Hortus Conclusus or Church of the Enclosed Garden, which was built in 1901. Its location is fascinating, especially the beautiful view on the mountains and valleys.
Another site in Artas is the Folkore museum. Many people visit Artas in order to experience a truly traditional Palestinian lifestyle or because they are interested in ecotourism.
