Attarah: village of aromatic plants

Attarah is a village 15 kilometers north of Ramallah and is 810m above sea level. It is mostly known for its beautiful views. There you have a panorama of Palestinian villages and you can look as far as Tel Aviv. The village consists of colourful new architecture and very old houses. The name of the village in Arabic is “Attarah” which means “aromatic” referring to the wild aromatic plants growing in it such as the narcissus and jasmine.
