Farkha village

Farkha is a small village with a population of about 1500 inhabitants 30 km South of Nablus. Pottery Sheds from different periods like the Middle Bronze Age, Iron Age or the Byzantine empire have been found there. Farkha is famous for being the first Palestinian eco-village since 2015. After several experiments with agro-ecology in 2014, Farkha has been elected to become the first town which lives autonomously and in harmony in nature aiming to grow the needed food by themselves and produce less waste. The model of Farkha village should be adopted to other towns in future times to demonstrate Palestinian sovereignty.
